Corrupt 50mb+ files

I have been downloading large files recently (morrowind mods if that helps) and once they are done, i go to open them (they are a zip and ace file), I cannot extract the contents as they are corrupt. Is there a way I can get my files. I have a 1mb download and I run WinXP Pro. I have also Norton antivirus and web security running if that helps.

Are u using a downloadmanager?

Or, the files from their servers could be corrupt, try downloading other files to be certain, like a game demo from 3dgamers.com Also you hard drive could be going bad, once you notice your hd not retaining large files, that's usually a sign of this, although not always.

I have no download assistants.

I have downloaded the file again and it seems to be OK now, several files. Maybe it was a one off.

Anyway, the problem I hope is fixed. If it happens again, I will revive this topic.
