i have this monitor that is about 30 inches and has a vga input and im trying to hook up my desktop to it. I got my cables and hooked it up and for the boot screens it was working great and looked great, but as soon as i get to the welcome page everything starts freaking out. it does this weird fuzzing and overlapping and just really weird images. so i think it is a setting in windows that is causing this to happen. does anyone know what i should do. i went into the display setting but i couldnt find anything useful.

tips?

hmm..perhaps the gfx card is on the fritz? also, is the monitor designed to support the resolution and refresh rate your card is outputting?

i looked around a little bit and i think that the model is "megapower" dm-5938v and this spec sheet i found says that vertical scanrate is 50-90 hertz and the horizontal is 31-38

ya its hooked up to this regular size dell monitor and works fine
and it works fine on the big screen until windows kicks in.

anyone else have any suggestions
