Can't Connect

I just recently reformatted a Dell Dimension Windows XP computer and using DriverMax saved and reinstalled the drivers. When I finished and hooked it all back up, I could not get it to connect to the internet. It is connected into a modem and there is a wireless modem attached to it. I have done this reformat on several other Windows XP computers and have never had this problem before. Any help or tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

Does the network adapter show up in device manager?
Can other computer using the said modem connect to the internet?

open a command prompt and type:
ipconfig

What ip address is it giving you?
