Backup Windows Photo Gallery

Hey everyone,

I´m still new to Vista but actually I like it a lot up to now.
I´d like to backup the windows photo gallery with all my added tags, so my question:

Are the tags saved in the picture files or do I have to backup another database file as well to preserve the added tags?

The tags are part of the Photo which can only be seen and used with Windows Vista. If you backup your pictures and put them on a machine with Windows XP you will not see your tags. But if you put them back on a Vista machine you will.

Just backup your pictures. You will be safe.
