Hi everyone. I just purchased a ATI Radeon X800 GTO 256 mb Videocard.. I installed it in my PCI Express Card Slot. I then changed my bios to use PCIE as my video source... Now when I boot up The screen just stays black or the monitor stays in standby.. Also When I use my power button on my comp it does not shutdown anymore. I actually have to turn the PSU off to power down the comp... I am using a 450 watt PSU so I know that is not the problem. The Card does infact get power because the fan is spinning on it. Please if anyone has had any problems like mine or no whether this card is dead I woould like to know.
My Mobo is a ECS RS482-M With built-In ATI Chipset/ATI Radeon X200
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3800+
Ram: 256MB DDR400 SuperTalent Mem
80GB ATA Hardrive
Also a strange thing is occuring when the ATI X800 is installed. I get no Video... But for some **** reason my ATI X200 Onboard chip is Overheating bigtime.. But very cool when the PCI-E Card is unplugged.
