So ive been using YN for a while to connect and have people to connect to my hub locally and through the internet (DC++). All ive done is the basic follow the little guide and make it run. Only doing certain things to tweak bandwidth usage and the such.
Now locally i know you have to use a specific IP (Typically your computers IP that is hosting) as you do through the internet you need your external IP. My question is, can i use a different IP so my hub cant be traced locally.
For example im on a large scale network. Can i use a different IP so the hub cant be traced to my specific computer (in my case my server) and not be shut down? Just to be clear im not trying anything illegal. Its for Ss&Gs.
I dont expect this to be possible, or im just a noob. I havent done much research but due to lack of time i figured id ask anyways. Thanks for any posts in advanced.
