Re: Congratulations from Google (claimed to be)

Any weird extensions installed on your browser?

Could also just be drive-by ads that got injected into normal ads. This is why I run Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin on my browsers.

Re: Potentially the longest thread in history...

I do however see more sport bike riders overall wearing full riding gear it seems like. All the Harley/cruiser riders, seems like they never have adequate gear on - maybe a leather jacket, but...

Re: Potentially the longest thread in history...

Depending on the area, in order to be "in the middle of nowhere" you also have to drive for a couple of hours. East and West coast (or any large, metropolitan area) especially. I'm in the midwest,...

Re: Potentially the longest thread in history...

Re: Potentially the longest thread in history...

I'm by no means cocky, so I guess I don't fit into the moto culture :p. I haven't even gone above 50mph on my bike yet . Pretty much only ride it in town to/from work, which is only a couple...

Re: Analysing Binary DATA ..

Binary isn't always ASCII. ASCII is just a code set for text, numbers, and symbols/control characters.

Re: Just a question for the mods or admin ..

Most things are already that way - a lot of software is web-based nowadays, with very little client-side applications. Unless it's talking to hardware or specialized...a lot of it is web...

Re: Analysing Binary DATA ..

I mean, "raw" binary is just on/off electrical pulses on the hardware. Which then get read on the software side of things and are usually converted over into Hex values, as hex takes less storage. ...

Re: M$ Windows 10 and M$ Windows Vista ..

"Vista Ready" and "Vista Capable" machines were bare-minimum specs for Vista at the time. And even then, Vista was kind of a performance hog until after SP1. XP had lower hardware requirements than...

Re: Potentially the longest thread in history...

Mayyyy be not. Even then, I'd still stick with Yamaha most likely and just get an R1 or FZ-01.

I do kinda want a little Honda Grom tho, just bc it's smaller/lighter and would be...

Re: cooling fan of the laptop

I've had to use a cooling pad in the past on older laptops that didn't have decent fans. On my recent laptops, they have sufficient cooling power (even during games) where I just set them on a hard...

Re: How many people hear actually use a printer at home in 2018 ..

Rarely need to print, but when I do, I just do it at work.

I save all of my receipts from online payments onto my server at home, and then those get backed up to my Google Drive account.

Win+R (to bring up the Run dialog) -> "msconfig" (without quotes) -> OK -> Startup tab

Re: Very simple wiring issue

Is the wire you're using just a jumper wire (i.e. not connected to anything at both ends)? If so, just get thicker (lower gauge) wire. Then you should be able to insert it into the terminal and...

Re: file server setup why so ridiculous still?

Re: win10 any way to compile settings so i can do it quickly

Ah, I use the Photos app anyway - I personally like it more; plus it has built-in capability for video trimming, which I used to use a lot. My other file associations haven't been reset, as far as...

I've still yet ot have this happen; on a few of the earlier updates maybe it changed some settings back to default (when they were adding options to them), but otherwise...none that I've seen. And...
