HDD's usually fail because of issues with the read/write arm and/or platters inside. Controller board issues are usually not caused from heat, either - which baking wouldn't solve.

PUBG on Xbox performs pretty terribly, just FYI. It's in their early development program...and Digital Foundry did a video on it and the OneX gets like 30fps, with dips often. I'd honestly wait on...

Not quite sure what you mean by "cancel out music"? You can mute your speakers, mute individual applications through the Volume Mixer, or close the application that's playing music. Not really sure...
