Your going to have to trust me here, get a good tripod before you get a good flash. You will use it allot more and it is a much better investment, especially for landscape. Let the flash wait.

I have really enjoy my manfrotto 190XDB with 486RC2 ball head. If you do some shopping around you can find them as a kit for under $150 (~100).

Ended up with a Pelican 1500 with the dividers, and first impression is nothing but amazing, I feel like I could throw this off my house and run it over with a tank and it would still be fine.

Black diamonds are easy, even the doubles are not too bad, however it is the ones that say "Warning" that are the fun ones that it may or may not survive lol.

None are croped in any way, I just resized the image to an 800pxl width, so that is all the origional "stuff" in the image.
Here is the lens I got to play with, still can't believe some random guy...
