Re: Suggestions for $800-500 Sandy Bridge Build

XFX has a 650w Modular PSU for $68 after MIR. Besides the case, everything looks good. I do NOT like the 300 because of it's lack of cable management and what not.

I'm trying to find a good list of parts to use for a new build, and I really can't get everything together in my budget-

Re: Need some help with a new gaming rig

If I'm reading this right, then a GTX 470 is a downgrade from the 6970.

Re: 6950 2GB Crossfire A bottleneck to the i5-2500k?

Awesome.
I'm saving for this setup (http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=16989666) if you are wondering. Could use some refining though.

6950 2GB Crossfire A bottleneck to the i5-2500k?

Will it be a bottleneck? If it is a bottleneck, will it be a big enough one that requires me to buy a 2600k instead?

Re: How well does the Atom D525 handle 1080p video?

I was hoping to stay away from buying a GPU at all because most ATOM boards only have a single PCI slot. I've seen a 256MB 8400GS with PCI before though. I think as long as it can run 720p it should...

My family is looking into building a guest PC, mainly for my friends/family. I would like it to have the ability to watch 1080p movies and flash videos. Possibly play some low end games like...

Re: Looking for a laptop with dedicated graphics?

Still looking :\

How will an i3-370 and a Mobility Radeon HD 5470 run games at 1366x768? I'm seeing a lot of systems with that combo available, one had a good price (HP Though)

Re: Looking for a laptop with dedicated graphics?

It will only be used for lower end games so it isn't a big deal. I just want a computer I can move around the house. If I can get the money I will build a i5-2500k and GTX 560 system instead.

Re: Looking for a laptop with dedicated graphics?

I won't be playing games like Crysis or Metro 2033 So it shouldn't me a big deal. Are those two computers the only good ones you could find?

Re: Looking for a laptop with dedicated graphics?

Re: Looking for a laptop with dedicated graphics?

I'm trying to avoid the $700+ but I think it won't happen. Take a look at this: Newegg.com - DELL Inspiron 15R (i15R-1990MRB) NoteBook Intel Core i3 370M(2.40GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory DDR3 1333 500GB HDD...

This is kind of off-topic but do you know anything about the Silverstone Raven RV02 case? I really like the design.

Re: Home Media Streaming and Backup server?

I didn't know they had a core i3 sandy bridge processor out. How well do those things perform in comparison to a quad core athlon or first generation i3?

Re: Quick Q: How good will this rig be for gaming?

That will run most games on High-Max settings anywhere from 1680x1050 to 1920x1200. I would go for a higher quality motherboard. Here are some I've seen some recommended. These are off of a US site...
