Shouldn't the thermal pad on the heatsink included with my processor do the job just fine though?

Thanks for the RAM suggestion. I have one final question. I've heard that thermal compound should only be applied to a processor when someone wants to remove and replace a heatsink multiple times. Since I dont want to do this, is thermal compound really necessary?

Thanks all. So what kind of gaming experience am I guaranteed with this card? More specifically, on a 22" widescreen at 1680 x 1050. Does the card help speed up other graphic programs, such as photoshop cs3 and adobe after effects?
