    the most i have ever ran is 42 copys of dvd shrink, 2 IEXPLORER, and GRAW, it used up 4.5 gigs of ram aprox, so my computer started lagging. but normaly not that many.

    here is u go. yeah, and you want to use lexan, not plexiglass. when you cut plexi, it likes to chip real easy, same applies to tapping holes for screws. and if you know what your doing you can make a case that is even better then the ones you can buy.

    jbod in raid 0 or 0+1 but that is not good for performance, if you have random hdds, the whole arrray will slow down to the slowest drive in that array. my advise, get all the same drives. #1 raid 0 "striping" for performance, but if one drive goes, you lose everything. #2 raid 5 "parity raid"...

    maybe cd's but for dvd's that is a different case, spinning them up to 18x, which these new drives can do, WILL break them, i have done it, now that was only one time the disc might of had a flaw in it, but it made a BIG **** SOUND when it did it, not to mention break the laser carage in half...
