ok, ive run this sisoftsandra performance test and the pc froze when it was checking the Comms Devices Information, however i ran the check again after i rebooted and it went fine. now i dont know if its any good but ive added the test results. i didnt yet get the spare power supply for testing...

ok, an update: just when i tried to reboot the pc from safe mode so that i could DL and install the latest DX drivers, The PC froze again, so it has the ability of frozing in safe mode also. and the thing with the DX drivers is as follows: after i`ve installed win xp pro corp onto this PC ive...

i have had win 98 and then there was a similar problem but the pc rebooted by itself at sometimes i managed to fix the problem but eventually, times change and ive upgraded to win xp. ive had win xp about 2 years now and without any problems but the freezing thing is hunting me about 7 months...

i`ve taken a snapshot of the chipset and the memory and ive tried to use it in safe mode "with networking". ive left it active for the night. and i have also noticed that theres 3 types of svchost.exe files running at the same time. regards Tipsi

i haven`t tried it in safe mode yet. and i dont have any sound cards installed either. sound is on the MB.

hello. i have this problem with my other computer that it freezes periodically (sometimes even after rebooting it again). and nothing else helps but rebooting the computer again. then i can work with a limited time and again the pc freezes. what may cause this kind of behaviour? i have Win XP...
