I have an mp3 player and it actually works better than my car stereo. I don't know if it is because I can take it places my car can't go, but I really love it, when I am out of mp3's I just listen to the radio while I work out or whatever.
The file that looks at the login screen that you were talking about is ntoskrnl.exe. It is in system 32 folder. I know this because I did the same exact thing, it was pretty easy to fix with the installation cd.

Yes already tried that, currently running a port scan to see if the problem lies there. Like I said it is really weird. Also ran a virus scan to see if I was infected with anything, but came up clean. All other computers on network see to be working fine.
