i strongly suggest go with the 8800 gtx. why?
the price difference between the gts and the gtx also has a noticable performance difference, so go with the better for the extra hundred dollars.
also, on another note: even though the quadcore is incredibly cheap compared to 3+ months ago, i...
i really think you shouldn't go with the quad-core. as great as the 8800 gtx is, you wouldn't be able to use all of the cpu's potential [unless you're going to use editing programs and software, i am wrong]
you have to level the two comoponents into an equal match. like getting another 8800 gtx...
i've been thinking about getting a 360 even if it has been out for a while. i'm on a bit of a budget so should i get the premium just for the hard drive and wireless controller and all the xbox live stuff?
or should i just stick with a great console minus the hard drive.
people tell me the...
well i don't know if this is software.. (excuse me on the audio specfics of the computer; i don't know much. meh.) but i do have some drivers which act as modifying the sound such as: xfi crystalizer, etc. etc.
can you recommend some?
i was looking for a great budget 5.1 surround speaker system and i found the logitech z-5300e; total rms -280, 5.1 system, and a xfi xtreme gamer sound card. so i hooked it up, settled everything right, and it just... seems so cheap. i've had bose 3 companions (2.1 system) sounded a bit better...
right now, with my 8800gtx sli and quad core system [sigh], i'm coping with a bose companion 3 series speakers. which isn't that bad. but i'm really looking for something that can live up to the pc system.
i'm looking for 5.1 no higher, no less. i don't want too many speakers and nothing that...

thanks bunches konvick. i really like the samsung design and quality and i just might go with that. and yeah... the tv is probably out the window. quad core and 8800gtx sli... but instead of going with a sumsung lcd tv, i'm going with the lcd monitor. so... yeah. the monitor won't bottleneck my...
meh. that's what i was thinking. i'm probably just going to go with a 2560x1600 or 1920x1200 and get a tv tuner and the 360 vga connnector along with a vga-dvi connector. those three.
but please: any other suggestions for my high end pc to a tv monitor that doesn't bottleneck the pc.
so i'm moving onward to the adventurous college life and its temporary home: the dorm. i'm bringing my high-end pc, 2x 8800gtx and QUAD CORE, yes, quad core, and my xbox 360. i would like to save some space and hook up my high end pc to a nice tv that way i can play my 360 and my pc without...
I'm pretty sure the Asus 680i Mobo is good for overclocking. But I'm not sure about the temperature. Can you suggest some software to monitor the temperature? A software that's reliable?
The reason I'm a bit worried about overclocking is because I have an 8800Gtx. Those can get quite hot. So...
I have an E6600, and I have two questions:
-Is it better to overclock with programs are straight on the BIOS?
-I only have five 120mm. fans and a heatsink (not stock, but I don't the manufacturer) for the CPU. Is it safe to overclock? I'm aiming for 2.7GHz+. Is that reasonable with my cooling...
