    Big problem can't reformat

I have found it best to troubleshoot these type of problems in this order memory--->cpu--->mb.... 70% of the time I have found the problem to be a failing processor

    Big Problem!

First make sure your memory is properly seated and even change the slots and if that doesn't work then... This is most likely a faulty processor in the computer, I've seen this a couple times and had to have the cpu and sometimes the motherboard replaced to fix...

    Win2k Installation

umm.. yes it does... your motherboard/bios can either support booting from the cdrom or it can not support booting from the cdrom. which if your motherboard supports booting from the cdrom, then you would set this to boot from the cdrom in the motherboards BIOS

can you normally boot from cdrom? if not your motherboard probably does not support booting from cdrom, if so what type of processor is in your computer?
