Yesterday it went off and stayed black and off.

How do I get this memtest working, it wont run in windows XP live.
Is it a boot thing?
And yes I play games, but very rarely, and nothing graphically heavy.
And no it was new at the time of purchase.
Hmm I use a USB mouse but that's all.
The last one did play up a bit, but I'll try using word/powerpoint without it plugged in to see if it helps at all.
Problem is it seems to occur at certain times. And the fact that when it's black if you press caps lock or something it takes 10-15seconds to light up the light makes me feel it's not a bad connection.
And I can turn it off after it happens, then back on without moving it and it comes back on...
Fans: Yes they run, although when the problem occurs they also come on straight away as if it's overheating.
Drivers: they are the right ones.
