what is your brand and model of your monitor? did you edit the target of your shortcut?

2142 dosnt support that resolution by default, same problem with my 1440x900 widescreen monitor...you have to put a line in your shortcut right click on your bf2142 shortcut, properties, in the TARGET block...change to this "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\BF2142.exe" +menu 1...

UPDATE. someone had me do install sheild checks and after 6 reinstalls with the same OS disk, the Installshield/Devoloper folder is missing it makes sense to me, and im assuming that folder is crucial to correct operation of windows what do yall think?

only have 1 cd drive connections triple checked....little more info = of the 5 programs ive unsuccessfully installed; 2 are from cd, 2 are from an exe on my desktop, and 1 iso from a networked computer. all of which work on 2nd computer same results
