My computer froze all of a sudden the other day. I attempted to reboot it and before it made it past the loading screen the monitor would just go black before it got to the OS. I took out the video card just to make sure it was all hooked up right. I am a novice so maybe that wasn't a good...
Well didn't see your post until now sorry.
CoreTemp has:
Core0: 49
Core1: 47
Core2: 44
Core3: 49
Everest has:
Motherboard: 28
Aux: 40
GPU: 57
Honestly I assumed the Aux was cpu not sure though? I think I read it could be a few things how do you determine what it is? I don't have...
This is my first time over clocking. My multiplier is set to 9 and I set the FSB at 300 in BIOS. I changed the vCore to 1.29. My temps seem to be ok in everest and bios. When I pull up CPU-Z though it shows my multiplier as 6 though. So I may be the first man to spend a bunch of money to...
Well I think I messed up installing the partition for the OS. As I was downloading drivers. It says I am out of space. I have never really used a partition before because I install to OS on the same spot I store everything else.
I figured i would just pop the os disk in and reinstall. I...
ISP came out today and he plugged his laptop up and it worked. He was here 1 minute said it wasn't there problem and left =) I have my old comp in a hundred pieces cleaning it so I will try that after its back together.
I can plug it in through the USB and it works fine though so I will...
I have reinstalled the drivers for it 3 times that doesn't seem to be the problem. I wish my problem was just the audio I'm not using the onboard audio anyways. I am so excited to have it up and running I hate to take it back apart and RMA the motherboard. Well thank you anyways.
I can't get access to my ISP through the ethernet port. It just doesn't seem to be seeing my modem at all. I am using the USB option on my DSL modem to get internet access.
Is there any good way to test and see if that part of the motherboard is bad. Everything else seems to be working...
The video card had two power cord slots and I plugged them both into the power supply. The cords had one extra 2 pin connecter on each cord though not sure what those were for. They are just dangling now.
Not sure what you were referring two with the second part to that question.
Everything is hooked up and when I turn on the computer nothing. I seem to have power to everything (minus one fan that does not appear to be working).
I checked the ram and switched it into different DIMM slots to see if maybe that would cause it. The fan on the video card is running so it...
Ahh well thanks for the head up thats why I love and hate the internet at the same time =) Anyone can put anything they want on there. Well anyone think setting up RAID 0 is worth the hassle then or just set them up normal? I don't know how big a performance increase will be.
I am done building my computer now I was wanting to setup the hdds in RAID. I have read up some on this and wanted some opinions. The main reason I was wanting to do this was to help speed up performance for gaming.
After reading about Raid 0 I don't think I want to go that route. It sounds...
Ok I connected it to the 4pin on the mb. I assume I will just keep it at full speed. I had not planned on adjusting the fan speed. Are there any drawbacks to just running it at full speed I should know about? I was going to attempt and try some overclocking once everything is up and running.
