I would say go with the northwood unless you're going all out with the 3.6 just as ICEDRAGON said. I have a 2.8 Northwood, and it's sitting right now at 90F, and these puppies can overclock like nobody's business without getting too hot.

yeah. anything under 20 is quiet. 20-40 is normal, 50 is loud. I wouldn't buy a 50 unless you're more concerned with airflow than noise level.

Yeah, go download mozilla or mozilla firefox and it has built-in pop up blocking. also, if you go digging through the nvidia settings, the new nvidia drivers have a pop up blocker built in that works rather well. I'd recommend Mozilla over all others though.

well, the p4's do not produce a whole lot of hear. Mine is idling at about 95F, and when I get it cookin it can get up to 125F Stock heatsink though...could be much warmer, so I'd be careful with your overclock, dont let it get over 160. If it's getting close, get a new heatsink/fan

Aren't most BFG cards overclocked? I could be wrong, but it could be a heat issue. If the card craps on you because it's too hot, then the computer could think that the driver is bad.
