    AP + 11mb of 802.11b + total 35 user = 11x35 = 385mb bandwidth?

Hi there I've a question about technology of AP on 802.11b. For example, an AP with 802.11b could allow max. 35 users connection. 802.11b max. throughput is 11mb. If total 35 users simultaneously connecting to the AP, does it mean that every user have their own max. wireless bandwidth 11mb...

can wireless user access other wireless user via Access Point?

Thank you very much, Mike. I know about without WEP key, a private AP could become a public AP. But it seems that a router is a device which is a hub plus routing function, and is total WLAN device. I always misunderstand that a router can't act like a hub. Also thanks for the hint from Inaris.

So, just want to be sure, does it mean that if I also know the password of the remote computer, I can access such computer via access point?

can wireless user access other wireless user via Access Point?

Hi there, Supposedly I broadcast SSID and without setting up WEP key for my wireless Access Point in 802.11b. When I connect to the Access Point to access Internet, if there's another unknown wireless user successfully connects to my Access Point, could the guy access my computer via such...

a wired way to get multiple dynamic ip for two nic

Oh yes, that's NIC teaming. But I think NIC teaming could be more better than fiber in certain cases in which some remote servers offers only limited connection speed with only a single ip connection for user. User in this case can't connect for more than one session. Fiber won't solve this...

a wired way to get multiple dynamic ip for two nic

Well, Michael, actually many people in many real cases who're limited to connect to a slow server with only one ip want to have more than one ip for multiple simultaneous connections to speed up access which is like what you said to have two modems. I do wish that could be done. Maybe...

a wired way to get multiple dynamic ip for two nic

Hi Crash Abbott, thanks for the detailed advice, but it's not related to my question. Maybe I need to clearly state it once again. Scenario: - only 1 PC (no more 2nd pc) - 2 nic existed in this only PC (is a multihomed) - no hub/switch in my LAN (not going to share with other PC) - total two...

a wired way to get multiple dynamic ip for two nic

Well, I've just tried setting up my 2nd nic to have gateway = 1st nic, and a static ip is similar to 1st nic, and two dns = 1st nic's dns. I think the 2nd nic can go out via 1st nic, but it can't reach Internet, can it? I'm not going connect to anyone who's connecting to the same hub/switch...

a wired way to get multiple dynamic ip for two nic

Say, my dynamic ip of 1st nic is 218.x.x.x. I want to use my 2nd nic to act as another computer connecting to the isp directly to get the 2nd dynamic ip like 218.x.x.x. If I have my 2nd nic a static ip, how can I set this 2nd nic to get a dynamic ip? What do you mean to setup my own machine...

a wired way to get multiple dynamic ip for two nic

Hi Michael But if the 2nd nic has been set a static ip, how can this 2nd nic get a dynamic ip via the 1st nic? I want to get a dynamic ip for the 2nd nic. Is it possible? Rio

a wired way to get multiple dynamic ip for two nic

Hi there I have two nic. Only the 1st nic is directly connected to ISP which grant dynamic ip. I want to use the 2nd nic to get the dynamic ip from isp via the 1st nic which is configured to be a routable nic or being set as a gateway, so that the 2nd nic can connect to ISP to get the dynamic...
