    Sd Ram? Ddr Ram?

Not necessarily. I have a computer with a BIOS that offers options up to 400MHz. It is a proprietary BIOS mind you, so he may or may not be given options in that format. Either way, if he has an option to go higher, why not?

You have a **** of a lot of browser issues, with rogue software attached to it. Download and run a simple Spybot scan, should resolve it.

    just opinions

Mm, Ubuntu's just way easier to use. I'd say it probably has a much, much bigger user base than Opensuse too, so if you get stuck - you'll find more help, more specific help, and faster help. Just go with Ubuntu, or K/Xubuntu.

New Sata Drive detection and Windows Bootup

Yup, boot into Safe Mode, and download and install the SATA/RAID drivers for your particular board. Then, restart, and you should be fine. You could do the same by unplugging the new HDD, and booting up normally, if you're not getting internet access with Safe Mode.

    advice on reinstallation

I think you'll find that that last post is incorrect. The reason you don't get asked for a product key when installing in that particular desktop, is because you're installing with a manufacturer's disc. They bypass that, and just skip straight to the activation later on in the installation...

    Sd Ram? Ddr Ram?

Oh, and another point OP - If your RAM's only running at 200MHz, then up it to it's full potential in the BIOS.

Master Volume Control does not work.

Does this only happen when playing a CD from the optical drive?

May I ask - What on earth are you doing telneting to a POP3 server?

    SATA and XP

It's not anything to do with Legacy mode, SATA, or anything else. The bottom line is, that if the XP installer recognises the disc, there isn't a problem installing to that drive. It's not the drive, it's not the SATA controller, or anything else. My money's on the memory, or an expansion card.

Wifi router will stop responding after being idle..

Next step would be to flash it with some open source firmware, but it's pretty advanced stuff once it's on there. Otherwise, you'll be wanting to call in any guarantee on the device, if you have one.

    Remove viewmgr.exe

Xoftspy or Spybot are what I use to get rid of it. It's a **** pain in the ***, and I see it all the time on customer's PCs.

    No Connectivity Caused By TCP/IPv6?

IPv6 works in a totally different way to IPv4. Given that v4 is the standard on the internet, and it's the type issued by your ISP, you need to use that. The best thing to do would be to completely uninstall the v6 from your network card, it's totally unnecessary, and I have no idea why it was...
