I am trying to change the order of the icons (at the foot of Desktop) but they keep reverting each time after rebooting. There was a way of making them stick where I want them but I can't recall the instructions now. Can anyone help?:confused:

Thanks but I am the administrator on a user-only machine (i.e. nobody else is involved). This problem has only recently arisen and you suggest that it is something amiss in RegEdit - could you tell me what keys are at fault so I can correct them?
When I go to the control panel and click on 'passwords' or 'users' I get the error message saying that the administrator has restricted these files. It also happens with some third-party programmes.
I am a single-user on Win98SE so if I'm not the administrator who is!
