Sweet. So I bought the $29.99 upgrade version of Windows 7 and then on the download link they sent me, I had the option to download the ISO which took only 10 mins to download the 3GB file. Burnt it to DVD using the Windows 7 USB/DVD thingy and it worked! Now I am running on Windows 7, its...
Hey guys. I just recently reinstalled my OS so i can use a separate hard drive for the OS and another hard drive for the installed programs.
I was able to successfully reinstall my OS and everything was working out. I even changed the registry so that all programs will be installed on the P:/...
Is it still better to custom build a budget PC instead of buying a pre-built one at around the same price? Not so sure, but with Windows 7 installed, that alone is around $100+. You can purchase a prebuilt PC for around $500, so minus the OS, = $400 in Hardware which includes the monitor (those...
Weird... so I did just that, did a fresh install and then changed the registry so that it will install all my programs into the secondary drive, well I did the vista rating and it used to be 5.9 but now it went down to 5.5 for my RAM and 5.6 for my HD :( All were 5.9s Index Rating before :( Oh well
Hey guys. I am wondering. Would it be better to install programs, games, and etc on a secondary drive and leave the OS harddrive alone and leave it strictly for OS files and what not?
I am thinking of purchasing bigger harddrive (1TB+) to store my files in. I currently have it stored on a...
thank you for the reply. The discount is still valid as I am able to purchase it using my .edu email and etc. But after reading everything you just wrote, it seems like more of a hassle to upgrade to Windows 7 in my case. Haha! It might be better if I just keep Windows Vista as I have yet to...
Hey guys. I built my computer 3 years ago and as we all know, Windows is self-destructive and slows down as time progresses. I was thinking of doing a fresh install again but it result in a loss of important softwares and etc that I wish to keep. Although I can install them again as I have the...
WoW. Your guys' wiring management makes my PC look like its garbage inside. haha. Would it be bad if I dismantle everything and start it all over again? Reconnecting everything so the wiring will look good? Or is that highly discouraged as I might do more harm than good.
Hmm... the temperature appears to be around the same as it was 3 years ago with no increase or decrease. I think I should be fine. The fan I am talking about is not the CPU fan but rather just an extra fan located in the back of the case.
And no, I am not in the Philippines. :) I wanna go back...
This reminds me, I havent reapplied any thermal paste on my CPU since I last built it haha. The heatsink I have is a pain in the *** to remove. Also, I think one of my stupid fan is broken cuz it makes a loud noise when I first bootup my PC, it does go away though after like 5 mins or so or...
Ugh... its been a long time since I've visited this forums :) Man...
Anyway, I built my PC about 3 years ago as many of you might remember with all the post I did asking for suggestions hehe.
But now, Guild Wars 2 is just right around the corner, 1 year possibly :) and I want to make sure...
LOL. I built my PC to play games... I played WoW for about 6 months... got addicted and got 3 lvl 70's... a quit right away as soon as school started again haha. Never will I play WoW again... it took my whole entire summer :(
Ok. I was just making sure. Maybe its also the cause to my BluRay Drive not working anymore :(
LOL. But I've had my PC below for about a year and a couple of months now and its already gone through almost 600 reboots haha :)
Question for you guys. I know most of us here have a very good gaming PC considering that this forums mostly consist of custom build PCs and when you build one you usually want the top of the line ones :)
I guess my question is... do you guys turn off your computer everynight?
I always turn...
