If warez monster had a brain, he could read your post and see from what you posted, that you probably had a faulty modem. Microsoft posted a kb stating if you installed a beta version of IE7 you may not be able to uninstall it through add/remove programs, or the uninstall could also fail. In...

You can try this, but i am not sure if it will work because I am not exactly sure what happened with your IE7. go to c:\windows\inf. the inf folder is hidden so you need to go into tools options view, show hidden files. then right click in ie.inf, and click install. It is either going to ask...

    Windows XP upgrade to Vista

Try installing that Jedi Game in backwards compatibility mode. For the most part if programs wont run in Vista, they run perfect in backward compatibility mode. Another thing I really like about Vista is the drivers that are native to the OS. If you look at my signature below, you can see I...

    Outlook 2003

How do I share my calendar? In Outlook, your calendar is a folder that stores information about your meetings, appointments, and so on. Sharing your calendar makes all this information visible to others that you select. Here's all you have to do to share: You would view your calendar, and on...

I would say not to worry about that one. From what I can remember Outlook 2000 does not have the cached exchange mode option. But to verify go to the control panel, right click on mail go to properties. From there you should be able to access the email account.

    Windows XP upgrade to Vista

I run a variety of apps, and with the exception of Nero I have been able to get nearly all of them to work. Vista is a great OS, and there is no way that I would ever go back to XP now.

You need to deselect that box on everyones machine. It is a pain, but you will be the hero when they start getting their mail on time. let me know how it goes. I can almost guarantee 100% this is your problem.

you may need to do a system repair, unless you have access to another PC and a thumb drive or cd burner. maybe you should try a system restore to the point before you installed IE7.

not likely, did you check the settings i mentioned above? if cached mode is enabled, it will not go to the server to retrieve mail right away. this is where i would start.

Eric, If she has an exchange server then her email would not be google, yahoo, aol, etc. I bet they are using cached mode within exchange. Enable / Disable Cached Exchange Mode: Note: Cached Exchange Mode creates a self-synchronized copy of your messages that are stored on both the server and...

sleepy either download IE7 or IE6 , then go to c:\program files and rename the existing IE folder. This will allow you to reinstall IE over top of itself. I had a similar issue with IE7 when it was a beta version.

    Windows XP upgrade to Vista

I have vista running on both my work computer, and my laptop. I love it and have had none of these teething issues you are hearing about. I would buy a pc that was already preloaded with Vista and move on from XP. Just my two cents
