is it making any kind of strange noise? btw, it may b due to bad sectors in your hdd. try pq magic for badsector retest and get the results first.

if u can't even find where is u'r microprocessor, its better to get an expert for help.

btw, try cleaning u'r drives tray and head using a good cd cleaner. try a system restore too if u know it (system restore).
