i was wondering if there is any software that can stop a hard drive from grinding

aight i got this display adapter its a diamond mutimedia speedstar64 i am running windows 2000 pro and i need a driver(if there is even one for it) all i can find is one for DOS and one for windows 3.1 thanks

i don't think it is the temp because if you run it in dos it will run forever

i have changed the hard drive once with a 2gig just to see if it was that i was wondering if some kind of hardware in the computer could be messed up

i can run it forever with a boot disk like in dos and it doesn't do it

i got a compaq persario and everytime i put an operating system and it gets to the part where it installs my drivers it restarts its self, most of the hardware is onboard so i don't even know where to start plz help
