    AMD A6-5400K + 4x HD 7970

Another thing, you guys think that 3x 7970 and a 6990 will be too much for the modular 1200 watt Corsair psu? Can't get model number, on phone waiting in snow at boxing day line

    AMD A6-5400K + 4x HD 7970

It is essentially crossfire no? Or can the cards be referenced separately by mining programs regardless of whether or not they are set up for crossfire? (because that would be sick). I'm kinda getting my feet wet all the while keeping face to make an extra buck. So bear with me haha. An SEO...

I mean for local pick up. :) (btw, it's been a while. I think you used to have the avatar like a pedestrian sign but with a guy on a computer?)

    AMD A6-5400K + 4x HD 7970

Good call, I was considering that only recently. Any recommendations? I'm browsing through them now. I'm also gonna need some input on the PSU for this. Are 1200+ Watt power supplies without question absolutely necessary?

    AMD A6-5400K + 4x HD 7970

Hey guys, I'm working with an investor to make a bunch of Litecoin mining rigs. I'm looking to buy parts locally, so I need to work with the cheapest MOBO+CPU combo available to me. Unfortunately, my local retailer doesn't have Sempron 145's which are ideal in my case. Cheapest thing is an...

    FX-8120/HD7850/M5A97 Rig Super Sluggish

ASUS M5A97 AMD FX-8120 AMD HD 7850 8GB Kingston HyperX XFX 750W PRO750W Core Edition (single rail 62A) I put this together with all the parts being on special and being much cheaper than the Intel/Nvidia alternative. I understand it's not the ideal choice of parts, and I am half-regretting not...

Looking for a CPU+MOBO(+RAM) bundle, preferably with BF3

Right now my computer is toast. I'm fairly certain it's either my CPU (Q6600), or motherboard (P35-DS3L), RAM is fine I think, but if I'm replacing either of the previously mentioned components I'll have to get DDR3 memory anyway. I'm fairly certain my 8800GTS is still functional, but that'll be...

    Two Possible Builds

Hey guys, building a gaming rig for my friend and want to present him with two lists, one with a bigger budget and one with a tighter budget. The prices quoted are off NCIX including shipping/insurance and taxes (take note I live in Canada); furthermore, there are additional mail-in-rebates but...

    Power+Fans+Lights but NO DISPLAY

I'm running an old Q6600, 8800GTS and P35-DS3L build. I've reset/replaced the CMOS battery and I've swapped video cards (HD 6850); same problem. I tested the psu on a much older build (P4/TNT2, lol) and it runs. Don't know if that qualifies as enough of a test. The remaining culprits are the...

    $900 rig

just the tower: cpu, mobo, case, psu, ram, hdd, dvd, gpu More or less $900 including taxes and shipping. I'd rather not use Newegg.ca - I've always been satisfied with NCIX's shipping rates and price matching. All I'm asking for is the quintessential mid-range bang-for-buck build, basically...

    $900 rig

Hi, I've been out of the loop for quite a while. Last I put together a system was back with the Intel-dominated times of the Kentsfield/Conroe/Allendale stuff, NVIDIA's 8xxx series and the P35 mobos. Looking for a crash course of what the current meta is like. I have a friend who wants a $900...

    "Y∞Y" on boot...

Really? I've managed to boot up Windows simply by transferring hard drives over before. It doesn't work 100% of the time, but at least half the time it worked, of course, a bunch of drivers would be missing. Anyway, best thing I can do is slip that hard drive into my computer as a secondary HDD...
