Looking to go Dolby Surround Sound 7.1, but confused

Thanks so much! I don't know how good that mic is, but for gaming purposes, it seems pretty good for ten dollars! I'll be sure to get that. Also, nice headphones you got there  they look pretty good. I've been thinking between which ones I should get, and I've narrowed it down to the 65...

Looking to go Dolby Surround Sound 7.1, but confused

Well looking forward to spend no more than 150 for the headphones/headset and other sound stuff combined. I know the speakers are preferably better, but, I live in a family house, so I can't get big and loud speakers anyways. I'm also almost always listening through my headset, and prefer it...

Looking to go Dolby Surround Sound 7.1, but confused

Ok, so I'm planning on buying a headset. Either this: Plantronics 79733-11 GameCom 777 Gaming Headset - With Dolby 7.1, Surround Sound at TigerDirect.com Or this: Newegg.com - RAZER ORCA 3.5mm Circumaural Headphone The first headset says it has 7.1, the other doesn't say it has (so it doesn't)...

How long will an ATI Radeon HD 5670 (512MB) last?

For some reason I feel drawn to ATI Cards :) That 5750 looks interesting! But the GTX is below par compared to the 5670, and the 4850.. I don't want such an old number. But there's a problem... the 5750- 1x HDMI, 1x DisplayPort, and 2x DVI. My monitor only has a D-Sub slot. What do I do?

My new pc build, need pointers

So far, I'm pretty sure THE most demanding game out there is Final Fantasy XIV. Use Can You Run It? And choose Final Fantasy XIV, and see what it says on requirements. You could also try out the Game-o-meter on Yougamers.com Considering, your computer can run this on recommended settings, I...

How long will an ATI Radeon HD 5670 (512MB) last?

After doing thorough research using the Can You Run It? program I have come to this conclusion about my computer: out of the 675 (more or less) games on it's list, my computer can run 261 of the games, or 39% of all the games. I have a decent processor (though not 'excellent'), 3GB of RAM, and...

Upgrading to Gaming Computer. Compatibility check :)

Thanks :). I'm sure there's a fan in there... and if not, this case has mega circulation lol. Like half of both sides of the case have holes, and then there's holes in the back too. And some little supports at the bottom of the case. I do not plan to buy all the stuff I said until Christmas...

Upgrading to Gaming Computer. Compatibility check :)

My gaming computer (compatibility check) Hi! I have a Compaq Presario CQ5210Y. I'm planning on upgrading my computer(so that I will be able to play Guild Wars 2 :).), to 4GB of Crucial DDR2 800 RAM, SAPPHIRE 100287VGAL Radeon HD 5670 512MB, and Antec BP550 Plus 550 watt PSU. Here is a link...

Are there any hour-clocking software that shows your time used in specific programs?

Is there a software or program that gives data on the amount of time a certain application has been on? (Not just a one-time thing-- but every time it's been turned on since the program/software was installed on the computer) I would like to use this to see how many hours I have put into some...

Upgrade PSU for Radeon HD 4670?

Thanks. Now I have another question :p. Ok you know the link I showed you of that computer? Well, it says the processor is "AMD Athlonâ„¢ 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 7750". I think I read somewhere that the 7750 is practically as good as the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 6000. Is this...

Upgrade PSU for Radeon HD 4670?

How well would this computer's ATX 12V 300W (power supply unit), cope with an ATI Radeon HD 4670? Would I have to upgrade the power supply? Will the video card run not at all, barely, possibly, fine, or perfectly?

    I have 6 choices: (all come with AMD Phenom X3 II 710, and a ATI Radeon HD 4670) 1. 420 watt PSU + 2GB RAM 2. 500 watt PSU + 2GB RAM 3. 420 watt PSU + 3GB RAM 4. 500 watt PSU + 3GB RAM 5. 420 watt PSU + 4GB RAM 6. 500 watt PSU + 4GB RAM Which configuration(s) would be sufficient? (i.e. just...
