What's a cheap, quiet low end CPU ?

I would suggest getting an AMD Duron 1.2. I had one up until I got my P4 2.6, and I loved it. It's a very powerful CPU. As for the noise, get an aftermarket fan and heatsink. The only problem's I had with my Duron was heating problems. It ran at a steady 60C, which is high, but it still ran...

    Upgrading Video Card

To see if your computer has an AGP slot, the easiest way is to take off the side panel, and then look at the slots in your motherboard. If your computer has an AGP slot, then the top slot on your motherboard will be a different size then the 3-4 slots below it.

What about the Sapphire Radeon 9600 Pro Advance?

Im hoping that Im not too late. DO NOT BUY THE SAPPHIRE! I paid $230 for an SAPPHIRE ATi Radeon 9800 Pro, back in the day, and it was nothing but problems. Never buy a Sapphire. If you have already boughten the card, when it gets to your house, return it, ASAP. You don't have to listen to me...

    My P4's Hawt.

I have a 2.6ghz P4 with 800mhz FSB. I have had it running the same setup; NVidia 6600gt with 1ghz Corsair XMS pc3200, and Ive never had a heating problem. Recently, my friend was talking about his computer tempurature, so I booted up some Temp software. The Software claimed that my computer was...

what do I need to make my computer wireless

I did research the WiFlyer, and I would only recommend it if you won't beable to get DSL or Cable at your house anytime soon, and you have a 2nd phone line for your Dial-Up. Its 150$, so it's kind of pricy. I do recall seeing Linksys Dial-Up routers, but I was unable to find them online.

    No video on boot

Try replacing the Mobo battery. It might change the CMOS reseting problems.

    Ok...

In my opinion, you had your mind made up before you asked us. -_- By the way, the DFI supports SLI with a SLI bridge.

    Ok...

Out of those 2 motherboards, I would go with the DFI LanParty. You have chosen 2 PCIE motherboards, neither have AGP, so Im guessing your going to be using PCIE video cards. Main factor of my reasoning is because the DFI board has 2 16x PCIE slots, which gives you a chance at a nice set of SLI...
