The problem with that is that I can't have any way of telling every potential customer that will come into the shop I work at to do an image of their drive so that we can keep activation... And the fact that we have to figure ways around activation on a legitimate copy is absolutely ridiculous.
If you install Windows 10 over top of 7 or 8.1. Great. You don't have to worry about activation and it does everything for you assuming you never do an OS reinstall or your drive never fails for the life of that PC. I don't like doing OS upgrades and would rather a fresh install. Installing...
Yes the other battery I tested was good. This battery says it needs replacement in the BIOS, but the other one didn't and it held a better charge. I sold it with another similar Dell Latitude awhile back and that laptop was working just fine. I even tested this battery on that laptop before I...
I really don't like the UEFI. It has cause more grief than good for me at my job as a computer tech. You can run Windows 7 on motherboards with UEFI, but you must change it over to legacy mode and disable secure boot. Not all motherboards support doing this and rather than going into legacy...
I have seen Norton and McAfee both do this. Since I see you have Norton installed on there, a good way to test would be to uninstall it. Malware is another thing that will cause high disk usage.
I know what you're thinking but I couldn't make a good title for the thread to explain...
The battery does hold about an hour and a half of charge. Yes it does need a replacement, but I have tested this same thing with a good battery with the same results.
It is a Dell Latitude D830. Nothing...
I ended up buying a YLOD PS3 for $36 on ebay to play The Last of Us (PS3 only) and went ahead and bought GTA5 as well. I wouldn't have spent anymore on a console myself, but I think I made out pretty good spending less than $40 on it and then doing the quick fix on it to get it running fine. I...
What I did was pick up a used server off Craigslist for $200. Dell PowerEdge T300 w/ quad core Xeon, 8 GB RAM, and 4 hard drive slots. Runs Server 2008 R2 with Active Directory, DNS, File Server (all my files shared between my computers, as well as a media drive for my movies and tv shows)...
IE has InPrivate browsing, Chrome has incognito, and Firefox has private browsing. Take your pick of whatever browser is installed on the computer. It won't save any of your history, information, etc.
That being said I'd not really even use public computers with a public user account unless...
I buy blu-rays of movies I really like, and I mean it has to be good enough to rewatch several times. My collection isn't real big. I don't just go out and buy a movie I think I might like and never watch it again. I also have a smaller DVD collection of stuff that I either can't get on...
I've been watching a guy that does gameplay videos play through it and I guess it could be played through by now if you have no life... But if you want your money's worth out of the game might as well make it last in my opinion. It is one of those games where you can make it last. There's...
Case should have good airflow. Cable management has been done. Two 120mm in rear and one large fan on the top all exhaust and all running at highest setting. All 3 front fans all at highest setting. One side fan, I believe it blows inward.
For reference, here's the interior with the card...
I said PCs cost more...I spent over $1000 on my gaming desktop, where consoles are I guess $400 new (I really don't even pay attention to console prices). But the the console dies in 2 years and you have to buy a new one... My 6 year old desktop is still working fine. I don't use it for...
