hmm well i ran the memtest and it ran fine... well i took the ram out anyways and replaced it with some more generic 512mb sticks (heh im too cheap to buy good ram). Then I reseated the vid card. runs good so far. no more blackouts no more slowdowns. Im just hoping for the best right now...

i doubt its spyware seeing as the comp if brand new. 1 day and ive barely used the internet its an AMD 3800+ with 1gb of ram. well i updated the vid drivers and now the monitor turns black and then goes back on every few minutes. its like totally random... could this possibly be a ram issue...

Well I figured out the memory divider. I was looking for some fractions and didn't realize it was the 133,166,200 setting thingy lol. Anyways I now have the CPU at 2.4GHz (267x9) The Ram is at 218.7MHz with 2.5 - 3 - 6 - 6 settings. I'm thinking i can get some tighter latency and prolly up...

I knew something was wrong. When I boot up it says my Ram is at like 300+ freq. but when I check using cpuz it says only 160MHz. I've been looking for the memory divider setting but I cant find it. What exactly should I be looking for?

if you goto newegg.com and check out the reviews on the pcie 6800gs card youll notice how a lot of people are not getting power cords with it. I myself didn't get one with either of the two I bought for my sli setup. It ****ed me off seeing as how compusa didnt have and pcie power cords...
