I run a Dell Inspiron 5100 for gaming. It does ok. I just upgraded the ram to 1024 and the video card. I have a friend who got a Dell XPS, and it's great.

Find a guide like they said. I go to the local computer shows in my area, they sell stuff for great prices. Also pricewatch.com is a good place to go to buy parts. If you can turn a screwdriver, you can build a PC.

I like Crucial Ram.
