I restored the computer in an attempt to get the files back, but it didn't work... And now it refuses to undo the restoration, and as a result I've lost some more files...

I just got a laptop which has had linux installed on it, on 24GB of the hard drive, and Windows XP on the remaining 16GB. Then being unable to uninstall Linux, he reformatted the hard drive, so that windows XP would reclaim all the space. This didn't work and now there is 24GB allocated to Linux...

Well, I don't know what my power supply is...:confused: As PCI-E seems to be the best stuff around now, is there any way I could get a slot for PCI-E cards? And I'm upgrading it, because it's a good computer, and I can't afford to buy a new computer every time the fancy takes me.

Well, I don't know the undelete command... I deleted it about two days ago now though. I tried looking for Erd Commander, but I couldn't find a trial version. If there are no free programs, is there another manual way I could do it? Thanks for your help so far anyway though.:)

I accidently deleted some stuff I was working on the other day, and I permenantly deleted it too, I emptied the recycle bin and everything. Is there a way to get it back without using some program I have to pay for? -Deleted
