    So why r u here?

What made you register for an account? I hope I don't get in trouble for this but I want to start my own computer forum (linux only) forum. I'm researching on how to build up a user base.

    cd rw erasing

    bumpy bump?

    cd rw erasing

No i haven't but what will that do? Basically my problem is that I can't access my cdrw to erase it because the drive always try to read it. I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with my cdrw drive.

    cd rw erasing

while the dvd drive reads the cdrw cd, my windows explorer freezes. Until I eject the cdrw, i can't do anything. regarding your quote, it's more concise to say "whether you think you can or can't, you're right" I think I can erase this cdrw but I can't ;P

    cd rw erasing

the problem is my dvd drive would read the cdrw for a long time, stop and would read it again if I right click on the drive to erase the data.

    cd rw erasing

I'm trying to erase a cdrw but can't because my dvd drive keeps on reading it. The cdrw did not burn correctly so there's something wrong with the file system. How do I stop my dvd drive from reading the cdrw initially so that I can erase it?

why do I need to do this?

If I registered my domain with namecheap.com, then is namecheap the domain authority for the domain that I registered? If I ask my ISP's DNS to resolve test.com, why doesn't it tell me the NS records so that I can use it to get the A record? In the example above, the root server tells me the...

why do I need to do this?

"It is more that it wants your domain to know where your website files are being kept so that your domain can be pointed in the correct direction." isn't this the purpose of "A" and not "ns" record? when I add the ns record dns1.100ws.com / IP: 66.40.52.56 dns2.100ws.com / IP: 66.40.66.176...

why do I need to do this?

I just regiestered a domain with namecheap.com and my webhost is 100webspace.net. 100webspace requires me to add ns record dns1.100ws.com / IP: 66.40.52.56 dns2.100ws.com / IP: 66.40.66.176 to my domain. What is purpose of doing this?? Is this a way for 100webspace to make sure that the...

    small business computer hardware advice

I have that nas and I love it but for business I can't use it because it has a HUGEEE flaw. When you want to share a folder with two users, the NAS will make two different share folders. For example say I want to share folder in the nas called "data" with two users. The nas would create a...

    small business computer hardware advice

yes the current NAS solutions suck. Why would a small business need a DNS server? I'm not sure about putting everything into one computer (firewall, file server, dns etc) because what if that computer fails? I'm currently looking for a standalone firewall hardware that is right in terms of...

    switches's address table size

I saw an 8 port switch on newegg for about $20 and it has a 4K MAC address table. Isn't a 4k MAC address table overkill? Who is going to hook 500 switches together?

    switches's address table size

On newegg, I see "mac address table" size as one of the features of a switch. What is it and does the size of the mac address table effect performance? how?
