Yes! I would Click re write the "boot.ini" file stored on "drive:\boot.ini" (it's a hidden system file so you will need to be able to, view those files) change the boot drive from c:\ to the DIR of your USB Drive. this should enable windows to boot off that drive? if this doesn't help please...

Make a Batch file RUN at logon and type into it NET USE z: \\server\share :) that should also make your network drives :D

That may only apply if you run a domain (NT4.0 ->) are you sure that your Group Policy doesn't "Delete Cached Copy's of Prolfiles"?

Have you tried using a batch file? such as DELETE %windir%\douments and settings\username\tempdir (that wont work but that sort of thing will work, if you find the correct file path)
