trying to reconstruct a failed computer

The VGA will work though? At least for a bit? XP Pro vs. Vista? I already have XP Pro and love it.

    Updating BIOS A8N32

Yeah that's what I meant. Other people here probably have way better advice for you though. I'm just getting back into this stuff.

trying to reconstruct a failed computer

Will it do alright to begin with though? If I use it for a month then it wasn't a waste of money and I won't have to set a memorial service for more wasted money. It's all about peace of mind at this point. The thing that really ticks me off about this is I went to a company that built me a...

trying to reconstruct a failed computer

Well crap. Let me find out what drives I have. Do you know from the MoBo that they're IDE or are you just assuming cause it's an old comp? I'm not sure how much overclocking I'll be doing. I might try it. What are the cons of it? Oh and the deactivated items that I listed are parts that...

trying to reconstruct a failed computer

It's actually a 939 socket. I don't want anything to do with the motherboard except get a little warmth from the fire it'll be in once my new comp is up and running.

trying to reconstruct a failed computer

It's a PCI-E. I wouldn't mind upgrading the RAM and was thinking about it anyways.

trying to reconstruct a failed computer

The Power Supply and the graphics card are new and have only been used to see if that was the problem with the computer. If I could still use those I'll be happy. The sound card was in the comp from the beginning. I'd be willing to toss in another $500 or so. I figure I only need a new...

trying to reconstruct a failed computer

Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe. I'm sick of trying different things just to have it not work. It's been 2 years so I just want to build a new rig. Any advice preferably using the parts I listed would help.

    Updating BIOS A8N32

I got this motherboard 2 years ago and I haven't had that computer working for more than a week at a time. It randomly just shuts down and is generally just useful for raising my blood pressure. I'm now looking to salvage what I can from it and start anew. That motherboard is just a headache...
