looks like its just me... but 170* doesnt seem "Extremely hot" with a laptop... within my experiences, near 100% pushes 180* fahrenheit .. i use everest to monitor it... yea, cleaning it helps alot. i didnt have any more air inside the last blast can so i just used a toothbrush and lung power...

did that with my acer 3620... went blue screen then did system check up of C drive.... accidentally turned on in my bookbag... was on standby and i suppose a key was pressured. it was VERY VERY hot. the most i've seen it go was at 205* doing maximum sitting on a bed. which was just a test.

ouch, sorry to hear of such an experience. i only considered it because one of my friends laptops are still alive... its filthy but the centrino is still pushing and hes created some fantastic videos with some professional program that's like 800 dollars... its some 12 inch notebook... not sure...
