ok I got all the drivers installed, went to start it up with the card installed, same thing. endless loop of on/off. took it back out, worked fine.

tried that before, and it had to power off and power on to complete...same thing. I'll try a windows update and see too. the only windows update that comes up is for the 56k modem that was removed. installed the bios update for my mobo, the PCI and SM still come in the device manager.

unfortunately there is only one on the gateway gt5628. there was a 56k modem installed in the slot previously. does the PCI Simple Communications Controller & SM Bus Controller that show up as "other" in the device manager have something to do with it?

same problem still...I read the instructions and followed exactly. After the install copies the files it shuts down and I install the card. GO to boot back up and it turns on for 4/5 seconds and shuts off into and endless cycle. Take the card out and hit the power, boots up just fine.

Yes, I installed it exactly as the directions said to. I'll uninstall try again and post anything that happens.

yea, i'm on the 2nd mouse right now, I've tried reinstalling the drivers on all of them, they all say/said "this device is working properly" but still no luck.

I'm really trying to find and repair a problem with my system not responding to right clicks in any software, window, or application. SO i'm trying a log to see if maybe somethign is blocking it or...? Right click just stopped working like a month ago, and i've been trying since to repair...
