Yeah, mail in rebates (MIR). You send in proof of purchase (usually the UPC from the product), a copy of the shipping receipt/order receipt/packing list, and the rebate form. Eventually you get your rebate if the company is decent. Some of NewEgg's are pre-paid cards or NewEgg credit, but most are regular MIR.
So what happens if your card breaks and it's not your fault and you got the rebate?

Are you just ****ed, or what?
 
I don't see how having a rebate would change anything there? I mean, you'd RMA it like normal. Why would the rebate come into it?
 
Listen son, When I was your age the internet was connected through your phone and you could make a snack while waiting for a page to load.
 
lol, in 20 years time I'll be saying that, and instantly think back to here. I wonder if T-F will still be around then?
