Woke up.
Went to work.
Came home.
Biked 23 miles.
Ate about 2 lbs of cocoa puffs.
Fell asleep.
Woke up.
Went on a short bike ride around the block.
Came inside.
Sup, TF?
 
We finally have hot water again!

Heating element went out on our hot water heater Saturday (Oct. 2nd). The breaker had kicked so I reset it and went my merry way (after using the last of the hot water :p). Sunday I realized that something was very wrong while taking a cold shower. I tried Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to drain the tank so I could try to replace the element. I finally called a plumber on Wednesday to come look at it.

He said the tank was drained and tried to remove the old element. And failed. it seems when the thermostat went out last month the heat basically welded the element in. The plumber even tried to drill it out, but no dice.

Sooooo... I had to go buy a new water heater Thursday and had him install it. It was so nice to be able to take a hot shower in my own house again as I had been trekking up to my mom's house for my showers.
