You are getting a 500ms ping with your satellite connection? I am missing out then, because my ping in game would usually end up between 2500 and 3000.

Yeah, we live out in the boondocks...I think that was the constant ping rate that my friend had while he had satellite (Wild Blue for the lose.) it was around there. At least, that's what he told me. They had the worst packages ever, and capped monthly downloads. WAY too expensive. But we weren't able to get DSL back then. :[

Now I moved and I have cable which is loads better than our DSL, but it's comcast, so...yeah.

Ya, I have Hughes net as my satellite ISP. Bandwidth capped at 200mb's a day. $60 a month.
