USB card reader not recognized

Hello,

I just bought a card reader for a memory stick pro duo (used on my digital camera). I plug in the memory stick into the card reader then I plug this usb card reader to the PC and it is not recognized by it.

I have unistalled all the USB drivers on my pc, rebooted and same thing.

Device:

Digital Concepts
MS/MS Pro
Reader/Writer

Is the reader the same form factor as the card? (dumb question but might as well ask). Did the plug and play balloon show up saying the reader installed correctly to begin with?

Maybe try checking out the card reader manufacturer's website for drivers?

Install the chipset driver for your mother board. Also this card reader should have come with some kind of software..

sorry 4 the late reply.

Yeah it worked on my home computer but on my notebook it doesn't.

When it connects to my notebook I get the pop up ballon and it says "unknown device" and then "your hardware is ready to use" but after this if I go to "My PC" no drive is there.

Hello,

You need to update your chipset drivers from you manufacturer's website.
