Simplest and best quality DVD to iPod converter?

Any suggestions?

I'm looking to play back dvds on a 27” tv.

Please delete thread if this is a ‘no-no' subject. I meant no harm.
I was surprised to learn iTunes wouldn't upload dvds that I own to my iPod. Kind of upset about it really.
will any converters convert .flv to mpeg-4?

i can't even see how to set the location of the encoded video file.

ok, figured out how to tell it where to save it to.

now stupid question number 2:
when i open a dvd there're seperate files for each chapter.
does super automaticly splice them together, as it encodes?

i went with PQ DVD to ipod converter. i'm too blonde for super. PQ does .flv too which i like.

one thing i don't understand.......
when i'm doing .flv files they are small on the screen say 320x240
when i play them on itunes as actual size, they look fine.
on my tv they fill the screen. i don't want that. i have ipod setting fit to screen off. so why is it blowing the picture up? shouldn't it be small and have black bars around it? some of my .flv looks better when it's small and i wish the tv wouldn't blow it up.

do i need to pick a lower resolution? i thought that would mean lower picture quality?
under 'get info' one .flv file has video dimensions as 320x240 so wouldn't that mean before i converted it i set the resolution settings to 320x240...why is my tv enlarging it?
