i got my handle from the book "shogun" by james clavell.
it is the name of one of the young samurai (his name was naga...nagasama is the ultimate honorific (given to like rulers or exalted samurai), versus nagasan which is a formal name ('-san' vs '-sama') of respect.
awesome book, by the way.
