Now i got Avast Anti virus and it works quite good, but if there is a better one please tell me. i dont use a thumb drive and my pc is hooked up to a router that my wifes computer is connected to. But her pc is not infected, hers works perfectly fine. Well if i cant get this fixed ill just format

C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE

That looks like the problem to me. That is a virus. It has the same name as the windows process but with the exception of the .EXE at the end. The Windows process is just explorer.exe without the caps.

Try and download Either AVG or Kasper and give it a "test run"

Do the following

Start>RUN>type Msconfig> Startup tab> Disable all except your anti-virus

Then restart and post back her with any news

Honestly if you go to them. USe either Firefox with the AdBlock and FlashBlock and maybe the NoScript extension to prevent this or use Opera. Going to these sites with IE will continue to get you infected. ;)

In firefox click Tools>Add-Ons. There will be a window that pops up. It will show extensions first. In there the bottom right hand corner it will say "Get Extensions" click that it will take you to the site.

You can scroll thru and check some out. The best ones are Ad Block, Flash Block, and if you really want to be secure NoScript.

There are also several more that are useful as well.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:1/cat:all/sort:popular
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:2/cat:all/sort:popular

There are the 2 places to go. Extensions and Themes.
