Having issues with msnger and internet

hi im having issues trying to connect to windows live messenger. it said that default gateway is offline and also for some reason many of the websites wont load(only happened after i update to vista) i also tryed installing the new ethernet from nvidia but it dont even seems to help .help plz i live in hong kong and my isp is pccw.

OS: windows vista ultimate

Do you connect to a home router? Do other computers on the network have the same problem? Have you check the firewall on Vista? Can you ping the website you cannot reach through the web browser? Give us more information to work with, no wonder nobody is replying back to you.
