I know for a fact that my processor, while tons cheaper than it's opposition, the e6600 from intel, is probably the best processor decision I've ever made. It's one step down from the FX-62, the AMD X2 6000+. OMG, this processor pwns so many newbs, and it's a VERY efficient processor. And to top it off, it was only about 199 NIB from an E-Tailer. I only wish the Nvidia chipsets would shear the top off of some of the prices they present to the public. I mean 750 bucks for a GPU? You can get a third of an XPS 720 for that!
I just wish that the major computer businesses would realize that the age for computer enthusiasts was declining sharply. As a 17yr old, it's very hard to shell out 200-300 for just a processor, let alone 700 for a video card.
