YouTube Clips: Picture Freezing

When I download and watch YouTube clips, although the dialogue is continuous the picture freezes for a fraction of a second every few seconds.

Can anyone advise me on how to iron out this glitch.

have you tried updating or reinstalling Flash player?

Agreed. Used to have the same problem with Chrome (and just chrome weirdly enough), updated flash player and issues were solved.

Did you completely remove Flash player and reinstall it from Adobe's website?

Have you tried a different browser? E.g. Chrome, Firefox.

Also, have you tried updating your graphics drivers?

I watched a YouTube clip on Chrome (my usual browser is Firefox). The fault still exists.

I have not tried updating graphics drivers. How do I go about this?
