crysalis: I can't run 32bit because I'm going to have 4gb ram MINIMUM.

ok, sounds like vista is the choice. but I'd still like to here from some other folks.

That shouldn't be a Problem.

I have 4 GB system Memory and a 4870 X2 (Which if you don't know has 2 GB mem)

And XP 32 Bit shows 3.25 GB ram in system properties.

All My games run flawlessly Including but not limited to. Crysis warhead, Farcry 2, Farcry 1, Supreme Commander Forged allainces, COD2, COD4, Command and Conquer Zero hour, Star trek armada 2.

So, yes you can have 4 GB with a 32 bit OS.

then when I want to double that to 8gb, I will DEFINITELY have to upgrade to x64 OS. I'd rather just do it from the start, ya know?

Vista Ultimate Top Dawg Super Duper Blastoff Cool Dude Bad Mofo x64 it is

I fully agree with the statements above. Vista 64 SP1 is the best 64 Bit OS to date. Apok and others like XP X64 but if you dont have the driver support for your system with that OS then Vista 64 Bit will be the way to go. Could just wait till this time next year and get Win7 64 Bit. :p

it get that delay write error even if you copy it 5 minutes ago. then the drive won't work anymore. it doesn't do all of the time but it do it too much

it's xp 64 biggest complaint

Lol I'd say that's more than a "complaint."
